Acne and acne marks
Acne affects more than the appearance of your skin. Inflammation, redness and recurring breakouts often leave skin feeling sensitive, tender and uneven.
With IPL, we treat inflammatory acne, redness and lingering marks from previous breakouts. The treatment also improves skin texture, leaving skin looking softer, smoother and more even.

Understanding acne
Acne is a multifactorial skin condition involving sebum production, clogged hair follicles, inflammation, hormones and bacteria. Skincare routines and everyday habits can also influence how the skin feels. By looking at the bigger picture, we can work together towards calmer, more balanced skin.
One treatment, several benefits
Less inflammation
Reduces inflamed blemishes and redness.
Fewer visible marks
Reduces red and pigmented marks left by acne.
Smoother skin texture
Stimulates collagen production and makes enlarged pores less noticeable.
What is IPL?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It is a well-established technology with more than 30 years of use in aesthetic skin treatments.
With individually tailored settings, we address inflammation, redness and skin texture. The light also affects bacteria associated with inflammatory acne.
When skin calms down, you can feel the difference
As inflammation subsides, many people find their skin feels softer, smoother and less tender. A more even skin surface also makes daily cleansing more comfortable.
The improvement is not only about fewer breakouts and less redness, but also skin that feels more balanced.

Before your consultation
A thorough skin assessment and an individual evaluation form the basis of every treatment.
Please tell us about any medications, skincare products and supplements you use, as these may affect how your skin responds to IPL.
We recommend photographing product packaging and ingredient lists on your phone before your visit. Please also mention any medications you have recently stopped taking. This helps us assess your skin carefully and plan treatment safely.
Do not change or stop prescribed medication on your own before treatment.
Frequently asked questions
IPL is particularly effective for red and pigmented marks left by acne. It also stimulates collagen production and improves skin texture. Deep, pitted scars usually require other treatment methods. During your consultation, we assess which approach best suits your skin.
For extensive or severe inflammatory acne, we often recommend medical assessment and treatment first. Once inflammation is under control, we can focus on lingering redness, marks and skin texture.
This depends on the ingredients and your skin condition. We review your skincare routine during the consultation and advise you on what is appropriate before and after treatment.
